BPC-157 in Orlando
Weigh A Widely Requested Repair Peptide
BPC-157 is the peptide our patients ask about more than any other. If you’re dealing with a slow-healing injury, nagging joint pain, or gut issues, our experienced peptide team will give you straight answers about whether BPC-157 makes sense for you and what else might help you heal.
What Is It?
What Is BPC-157?
BPC-157 stands for Body Protection Compound-157. It’s a chain of 15 amino acids, made in a lab, with a sequence based on a protein your stomach naturally produces. It has become one of the most popular peptides in recovery and sports medicine circles.
How It Works
Researchers have studied BPC-157 for its role in tissue repair, including the growth of new blood vessels and the body’s healing signals. Most of that research has been done in cells and animals, such as studies of tendon healing in rats.
Those results are promising, but they don’t tell us exactly what happens in people, and published human research is still very limited. We’ll always be upfront with you about that.
Potential Benefits
Patients typically ask about BPC-157 for one of three reasons:
Recovery from an injury that is taking longer than expected
Ongoing joint or soft tissue pain
Digestive symptoms
Human evidence remains very limited and has not established BPC-157’s effectiveness for injury recovery, pain, digestive disease, or other routine clinical uses. Small pilot reports cannot establish safety for general prescribing.
Who May Be An Appropriate Candidate
This conversation begins with evidence rather than a symptom checklist. Your provider will want to know what you are recovering from, what you have already tried, whether a better-studied option should come first, and whether hormones, nutrition, or inflammation may be slowing your recovery.
From there, BPC-157 may be part of your plan on its own, or alongside other support such as our healing tripeptide, hormone therapy, or vitamin injections.
Reasons to Reconsider or Rule It Out
Current or previous cancer, given the pathways involved
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Significant liver, kidney, immune, or cardiovascular conditions requiring individualized medical evaluation
A drug-tested sport on your schedule. BPC-157 is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned list
How It Is Administered
Route
Products marketed as BPC-157 may be offered in compounded injectable or oral forms. Again, however, there is no FDA-approved BPC-157 dosage form, standardized regimen, or established equivalence between routes.
When
There is no FDA-approved dosing schedule. Any regimen offered by a clinic is an investigational or compounded protocol.
Who does it
You take it at home. Our team walks you through the steps first.
How Often It May Be Used
Most protocols run daily for a set number of weeks, tied to a specific goal, rather than continuing indefinitely. Those schedules reflect how clinics have chosen to use it rather than dosing research. Your provider sets a duration and a reassessment date.
Safety Considerations
BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any use. The FDA has flagged concerns with compounded preparations, including immune reactions, peptide-related impurities, and incomplete identification of the active ingredient, and has stated that adequate human safety information is lacking.
We only work with licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies that test for sterility and potency, never online “research” peptides.
Its compounding status is actively changing:
2023: The FDA placed it in Category 2, for substances considered to have safety risks or manufacturing issues.
April 2026: Removed from that category as part of a new review cycle.
July 2026: FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee recommended adding BPC-157-related substances to the 503A bulks list by an advisory vote. The recommendation was nonbinding and did not itself authorize compounding.
Currently: No final decision has been issued, and availability could move either way.
Because human data is limited, the full side-effect picture is not established. Report anything unexpected right away. Our team is a text or call away.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a lab-made peptide of 15 amino acids, based on a protein found in the stomach. It’s been studied, mostly in animals, for its role in tissue repair and healing.
What is BPC-157 used for?
Patients most often ask about it for slow-healing injuries, joint or soft-tissue pain, and gut health. Human research is still limited, so your provider will talk with you about what is and isn’t known, and whether a better-studied option should come first.
Is BPC-157 FDA-approved?
No. BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any use.
Is BPC-157 legal in 2026?
Its status is changing. The FDA restricted BPC-157 from compounding in 2023, removed that restriction in April 2026, and in July 2026 an FDA advisory committee voted to recommend allowing it to be compounded. That vote isn’t a final decision, and the FDA hasn’t issued one yet. We follow these developments closely and will tell you where things stand at your visit.
Is BPC-157 safe?
Because human research is limited, its full side-effect profile isn’t established. Product quality also matters a lot, which is why we only use licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies that test for sterility and potency, review your health history and labs first, and monitor you throughout.
BPC-157 injection vs. oral: which is better?
Both forms are available, but there’s no research establishing that one works the same as the other. Your provider will recommend a form based on your goal, such as an injury versus gut support.
BPC-157 vs. TB-500: what's the difference?
Both are popular recovery peptides, but they’re different compounds that have been studied for different healing pathways. Some patients ask about using them together, which is why we offer a healing tripeptide (GHK-Cu + TB-500 + BPC-157). Your provider will help you decide what fits.
How long does BPC-157 take to work?
It varies by person and by what you’re recovering from, and there’s no established timeline from human research. Your provider sets a defined course with a check-in date to review your progress.
Can athletes use BPC-157?
If you compete in a drug-tested sport, no. BPC-157 is on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s prohibited list.
Should I buy BPC-157 online?
We don’t recommend it. BPC-157 sold online as a “research chemical” often has no guarantee of purity, dose, or sterility, and the FDA has flagged impurity concerns with some products.
How much does BPC-157 cost?
Your cost depends on your personalized plan. We’ll walk you through your options and pricing at your Discovery Consultation, before you commit to anything. We accept HSA cards and offer financing through Cherry.
Do I need lab work first?
Yes. We require baseline labs before prescribing any peptide. Your labs sit alongside your symptoms, history, and recovery goals; they don’t decide on their own.
